GRAPHIC DESIGN
THE GARDEN CAFE
This t-shirt design was a commission from a friend of mine back in college.

Based on a painted cafe sign that held sentimental value to a group of my friends, this custom t-shirt would end up being a gift to all of them.

Below is the reference photo that I would be basing the design on.

My friend wanted to retain the hand-painted feel of the original sign but without sacrificing image quality if the design was scaled up or down.

To achieve this I recreated the design in Adobe Illustrator.
Final Design
Using the pen tool, I traced over the general outline of the floral design and then free-handed the individual petals and leaves within the design.
​
After color matching the design with the original image, I decided to increase the saturation to give the piece a fresher look that would pop against the dark blue of the t-shirts.

Below are the final printed t-shirts, complete with (digitally) hand-painted lettering.
